A free library of the Qur’an, its translations and its commentaries, online without charge since 2007.

What this site is

Quran4U exists to put the Qur’an, and the classical works that explain it, within reach of anyone with an internet connection. Everything here is free to read, to listen to and to download. There is no membership, no account and no charge, and there never has been.

The site is maintained privately by Zahid Javed Rana and Abid Javed Rana in Lahore, Pakistan. It is not affiliated with any organisation, government, school of thought or institution.

What you will find here

The Qur’an in Arabic — in both the simple script and the Uthmani script as printed in the mushaf, to read online or download.
Translation into eleven languages — English, Urdu, French, Spanish, Hindi, Bengali and others, most available with the Arabic alongside.
Tafsir — verse-by-verse commentary, in English and in Urdu.
Recitation — complete recordings by fifteen reciters, some with the translation read aloud.
Sahih Bukhari — complete, in English and Urdu.
A download library — the complete Qur’an as a PDF in thirty-seven languages.

How it is paid for

Hosting and the domain are paid for privately. The site may carry advertising to help meet those costs. It has never charged visitors and it never will.
